Uasin Gishu gubernatorial candidate Zedekiah Kiprop Bundotich alias Buzeki will today lead his Uongozi Ni Sera team to the Eldoret Sports Club where they will hold their final rally.

With two days to the election, Buzeki who is vying on an independent ticket is seeking to woo his supporters to rally behind his candidature.

Today’s event which Buzeki has termed as a mother of all rallies comes a day after he received a heroic reception in Soy Sub-County where he interacted with the residents of Ziwa-Sirikwa centre who endorsed and approved his candidature and that of his running mate Reuben Chepses.

“Finally, freedom is coming to Uasin Gishu on Tuesday, August 9. By the Grace of God and your support, we have successfully traversed our entire beautiful county sharing the plans we have in store for you it’s now time to wrap up all these with our mega rally at the Eldoret sports club.Victory is coming home,” Buzeki stated.

He also noted that today’s event is a culmination of his close interactions with the people of Uasin-Gishu in the rural and urban areas.

“We want to thank the beautiful people of Uasin-Gishu who have fully embraced our Uongozi Ni Sera manifesto and pledged to back our aspirations as we look forward to serving them beginning next week,” Buzeki remarked.

Buzeki’s detailed manifesto is hinged on transforming the county into a wealthy region with a unique environment for flourishing trade and jobs for the youth.

He insists he lost the last elections narrowly to outgoing Governor Jackson Mandago because the Nasa team led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) chief Raila Odinga endorsed Mandago at the last minute.

“The endorsement shifted over 70,000 votes from me to Mandago, and we lost and said there will be another day to fight. The day has now come and we now want to take the county to the next level,” Buzeki said.

He is considered a top contender for the governor's seat in the cosmopolitan county where he pledged to include all communities in his administration.

Buzeki who has campaigned extensively in the region, going against the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) wave further urged residents to choose quality leadership over party.

The gubernatorial hopeful will faceoff with Jonathan Bii alias 'Koti Moja ' of UDAand William Kirwa of the United Democratic Movement (UDM).
