Nyutu says he believes his faith will offer a roadmap for his leadership, adding that nothing can go wrong or get compromised.

"There is nothing wrong with a saved person being in politics because what matters is the character of the individual and the commitment that have to serve the people," he said.

"I have offered myself to serve the people of Murang'a and I believe I have a role to play in transforming their livelihoods," he added.

Speaking after receiving his certificate, Nyutu said he will ensure he plays his oversight role perfectly and ensure not even a single coin will go unaccounted for.

"I will be the eyes of the people of Murang'a and my job is to ensure things at the county are done the right way," he said.

"We have agreed with the governor-elect that I will oversight him and criticize him where he goes wrong and this will be without the sideshows," he added.

Nyutu also said he will lobby for better policies to benefit the counties and subsequently the people.
