Azimio presidential running mate Martha Karua has warned the Mt Kenya region against voting for Kenya Kwanza Alliance saying its leaders had no vision for the country.

While wooing voters in Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties to vote for Azimio presidential nominee Raila Odinga, Karua warned the voters against being lured with money by politicians.

“ Money is a good thing, take it and vote wisely, but be careful not to be lured to vote for the wrong leaders who have nothing to offer,” she added.

“ Do not waste your time by voting for the Kenya Kwanza alliance, the camp is full of leaders with questionable integrity and poor development track record for the time they have been in power,” Karua said at a rally at Kathwana Stadium in Tharaka Nithi.

And speaking later at ASK Show-ground in  Meru, Karua accused Deputy President William Ruto of not respecting President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Karua was hosted by Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi who rallied his constituents to vote for Raila.

Karua lauded Raila as the only leader who can bring steady economical and social transformation to the country.

“We are calling on Mt Kenya region and Meru included to come out in large numbers to vote for Azimio, because this is the only government that will take care of the interets of the region,” she added.
