‘I am worth Ksh590M’ – Machogu reveals
Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) nominee Ezekiel Machogu has revealed that he is worth Ksh590million.
Machogu disclosed his networth when he appeared before the National Assembly Committee on appointments for vetting on Friday, October 21, 2022.
The former Nyaribari Masaba Member of Parliament (MP) revealed that he accrued most of his wealth from rental income.
"My financial net worth is 590M. I have buildings in Nairobi, 3 in Eastlands, another in Pangani, I have apartments in Milimani, Kileleshwa, Ngong and near Yaya Centre. I own a plot in Kisii town and 30 acres of land in Kisii. I own vehicles (a Mercedes and a V8)," he stated.
Machogu noted that he will ensure that basic education is affordable if approved by the vetting committee and the president.
"Once I get recommendations of the final report from the task force, this is one of the areas that we will be able to come up with such that it is manageable," he stated.
