Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga now says Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance will launch its manifesto for the August 9 general election in a week's time.

Raila, who is the coalition's presidential candidate, said they delayed the launch of the manifesto after fearing it could be plagiarised by their opponents.

"We have got 10-point agenda. Our people will come to explain them to you. We are now preparing the final manifesto of the Azimio and this week, our people are going to be on a retreat to finalise the document.

"And within a week's time, it will be out. It will give you clearly what we are going to do in the field of infrastructure, agriculture, health, industrialization and all other fields of development are going to be in that manifesto," Raila said when he met grassroots leaders in Kiambu.

Raila to create jobs for youth

He further said his administration will focus on creating jobs for young people.

"We will create meaningful jobs for our youth, not those of pushing wheelbarrows," he added.

Raila was unveiled as the Azimio-One Kenya Alliance presidential candidate on March 12, 2022.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is the chairman of the alliance's governing council.
