Roots party presidential flagbearer Prof. George Wajackoyah now pledges that his administration will introduce the sale of snake meat as part of his strategy to increase government revenue and clear the country's debt if elected president.

Speaking to a local TV station on Wednesday 7, 2022, the presidential hopeful stated that his administration will introduce the sale of snake meat to Chinese nationals as a means of repaying the country's ballooning debts.

"We have so many snake eaters like the Chinese. One of the ways we are going to offset the Chinese debts is by extracting the poison from the snake and then giving the Chinese the meat to eat and telling them to offset the debt," he stated.

Wajackoyah to sell anti-venom

Wajackoyah also noted that his administration will introduce the sale of anti-venom globally adding that the venture will help widen the economy.

"We will introduce snake farming so that we can actually extract snake poison for purposes of medication. A lot of people are bitten by snakes in this country and we have to wait for snake doses from outside the country from pharmaceutical organisations," Wajackoyah stated.

The light-hearted presidential candidate who has been vocal on legalising marijuana further pledged that his administration will venture into bhang farming and commercializing the drug for medicinal purposes.

While expressing optimism, he added that the two ventures coupled with incentives will be the first thing his administration will focus on if he succeeds President Uhuru Kenyatta.

While others criticized his promise on marijuana, his supporters have lauded him for the move stating that they would back his presidential bid.
