State House race: Raila camps in Machakos County
Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga is set to pitch camp in Machakos County on Friday, July 29.
The Azimio leader will kick off his tour at Machakos Golf Club where he will meet the clergy.
He will then address a mega rally at 2:00 pm at Kenyatta Stadium.
On his way back to Nairobi, he will address an open rally at the Mlolongo centre at 5:00 pm.
Raila leads in Machakos
Raila's visit to the county comes a day after the Infotrak Research poll placed him in the lead against his closest challenger, William Ruto.
According to the poll, Raila is enjoying 62 per cent popularity against Ruto's 21 per cent.
The new survey showed the Azimio leader has gained 11 per cent since the last poll in June (51%).
Ruto, on the other hand, has lost popularity by eight per cent from 29 per cent in June.
