Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria (pictured) has announced that he will launch his presidential manifesto and campaigns in January.

He said during the event, he will make his agenda known to Kenyans and was optimistic they will support his bid.

Wa Iria hinted at giving agriculture, health and education a priority in his leadership should he be elected in the next year’s polls.

The governor, has for the past few months been meeting delegates from various parts of the country among them Mt Kenya, Rift Valley, Nyanza and Western.

He said the delegates are the leaders who have  subscribed to his Usawa Kwa Wote party and shall be vying for various elective positions using the party’s ticket.

“There are more than 1,000 aspirants who have subscribed to the party and I believe more shall be joining us next year,” he said.

As part of his campaign strategy, the governor has erected bill boards in various parts of the country and majority of his supporters have their vehicles branded with his photo and party slogan.

Wa Iria who has stood his ground that nothing shall make him back off from the race, however, said he welcomes like minded leaders who they can join hands to approach the poll together.

He is on record saying he shall not be a running mate to anyone and that he is ready to face his opponents in the race.

He also  retaliated that  nothing bars anyone from the Mt Kenya region from vying for the presidential seat as it has been insinuated by few leaders.
