Roots party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah now says the planners need to meet his demands or he'll skip the upcoming presidential debate set for Tuesday, July 26 at the Catholic University for Eastern Africa (CUEA) main campus situated in Karen, Nairobi.

The professor threatened not to participate in the debates sponsored by Kenyan media houses citing unfairness.

He claims the alleged plan to split the four candidates into two groups of the front runners- Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga and him together with Agano party's Waihiga Mwaure is biased.

"I have credible information from those who are arranging for the presidential debate to hold a so-called mini poll so that they can pair Raila with Ruto and me with Mwaure, thinking that we are the most stupid," Wajackoyah said during an interview on a local station.

"They are degrading me and Mwaure. Does it mean that we are the last remnants of society? I want us to have a head-on debate. What is wrong with all of us having the same podium," he posed.

He maintained that should the said plan be executed then he will be a no-show and will let Mwaure be on his own.

“So by subjecting me with Mwaure on one side and the other two on another side I will not go, Mwaure will be on his own," he said.

Roots party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah says his demands must be met or he'll skip the upcoming presidential debate.
