The Azimio Chief Minister designate commended Kenyans for maintaining peace during and after the election.

"I want to congratulate our fellow citizens for remaining solid and patient. Any outcome, we must remember that we are all Kenyans first and we are one.

"Our neighbours have been waiting to see us burning tyres on the road, but that is not happening because we are peace-loving people," he added.

He also lauded President Uhuru Kenyatta for allowing democracy in Kenya, saying he has kept the country intact in this "trying time".

"I want to congratulate my brother President Uhuru Kenya for being a true statesman. This was a terrible trial period but he has managed to keep the country together," he said.
