Christmas came early for 14 Tuskys shoppers who were awarded land and other gifts in the on-going 60 days of Christmas promotion for the supermarkets.

Two of the loyal customers were lucky to win Sh1.2 million plots in Machakos county. Four other shoppers took home kitchen makeover gifts comprising fridges, cookers, water dispensers, microwave ovens and juicers in the third series of the promotion launched at Tuskys United Mall in Kisumu on Saturday.

Eight customers scooped awards in the wardrobe makeover category. Some of the winners from across the country, were awarded in absentia. They were contacted through mobile phones.

Improve livelihoods

Paul Ochieng’, a kitchen makeover winner in the second draw and who was handed his gift at the event, said it had come as a surprise to him. He termed the promotion a noble opportunity for shoppers to improve livelihoods.

“I never expected to receive the award. My gratitude goes to Tuskys for this worthy appreciation it is offering loyal customers,” he said.

The ‘60 days of Christmas with Tuskys’ campaign will see more than 20 shoppers walk away with title deeds for property in Machakos.

The campaign is courtesy of a partnership between a real estate company Optiven Limited and Tuskys Supermarkets signed last month.

The drive is aimed at rewarding loyal customers with various prizes on the card among them cars, electronic appliances and other household items.

The promotion runs to January 5 next year and is open to shoppers at any of the supermarkets branches countrywide. Customers spending at least Sh3,000 on shopping are eligible for the promotion.
