GRAFT:  Traders operating stalls within the Kitengela bus terminus are up in arms over they describe as massive corruption and intimidation by county officials.

Agitated traders say county officials are asking for bribes of up to Sh100, 000 per stall lest the trader is forcefully evicted.

The 36 stalls adjacent to the busy terminus have become a source of frustration among traders seeing a big number remain closed.

The stalls were constructed and issued to individuals in 2016.

The issuance was marred with corruption allegations where individuals allied to the close to former Governor David Nkedianye were allocated the stalls at the expense of the same being given to registered groups.

Individuals have been renting the stalls at a monthly fee of between Sh10,000 and 20,000 pay County government Sh4,500 monthly.
