The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has deployed the Revenue Service Assistants (RSAs) to ensure tax compliance.

In a public notice released on Monday, September 25, 2023, KRA said that the RSAs would be tasked with helping the public with major tax issues.

"We would like to inform the public that we have launched the Revenue Service Assistants program to support taxpayers with their compliance needs, including online registration, verifying taxpayer info, eTIMS compliance, Excise regulations compliance, and data collection," KRA stated.

The RSAs will provide on-site facilitation to taxpayers, which will involve physical visits to taxpayer premises within the country.

According to the taxman, RSAs will have KRA staff identification cards and will be in uniform for ease of identification.

"Additionally, the public can authenticate the staff details through USSD "572#, or use KRA Thibitisha which is available on the KRA website through the KRA Mservice App. KRA encourages the public to interact with the RSAs and let them know how they can assist you," KRA added.

The 1,405 RSAs, who received paramilitary training at the Recruits Training College in Eldoret, graduated last month.
