LG picks new managing director for East Africa

LG Electronics has appointed Dong Won Lee as its new Regional Managing Director for East Africa (EA). He replaces Sa Nyoung Kim who served as LG EA Managing Director for three years since January 2020.

Lee expressed excitement about the role, saying he looked forward to leading LG East Africa in achieving its 2023 and beyond strategy. He noted that East Africa has a high economic growth potential.

“In line with the company’s mission to rollout customer-centered innovations, it is my duty to provide excellent customer experience to the millions  of customers,” ,” he said in a statement.

Previously Lee was the Managing Director of LG Iraq. A position he held for five years. He is celebrated for boosting the business in Iraq by increasing sales growth by 50 per cent hence registering double-digit growth.

Lee brings over 20 years operational experience and knowledge in leadership, performance improvement, sales, and marketing in the consumer electronics industry.
