Winnie Chepkemoi appointed Eveready CEO

Winnie Chepkemoi has been appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Eveready.

Chepkemoi replaces Thomas Mong’are Masaki, who has been the acting Managing Director since March 10, 2021.

"Pursuant to Capital Markets (Securities) (Public, Offers Listings and Disclosures Regulations, 2002) Amended 2012. Paragraph G.05(1)(b) of the Fifty Schedule, Eveready East Africa PLC hereby announces that at a meeting of the Board of Directors held on 21st September 2023, the Board appointed Ms Winnie Chepkemoi as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company," Eveready Company Secretary Evan Lagat said in a public notice.

"Winnie is a risk professional (financial & technology) with experience in the United States of America, East & West African markets with a focus on a range of industries in energy, fintech, financial services, TMT (technology, media, and telecommunication), and manufacturing."

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, a Master of Science in Finance and Investments degree from the University of Nairobi and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
