The comedy fraternity is in grief following the death of popular Churchill Show comedian Joseph Kivindu aka Kasee.

He was found dead by the roadside in Kinoo, Kiambu county, on Sunday. By the time of going to press, it was unclear what exactly led to his death.

According to sources, Kasee left his house for a drink with his friends, but never returned home.

The fallen comic had previously struggled with alcoholism and had reportedly been getting his life back on track before a relapse.

“A really sad way to end the week. It is a bitter pill to swallow, but then we cannot question God’s plans.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Kasee. May your hearts find peace from the almighty,” Laugh Industry’s Daniel Ndambuki aka Churchill mourned the departed comedian.

On his part, fellow comic Kazungu Matano aka Captain Otoyo said he felt “robbed” by the death, describing Kasee as a loving person.

“Kasee had a bright future in the entertainment industry. He was in the middle of putting up a new online show with a few other comedians. The guy had a different kind of warmth.

He loved every living soul. I shall surely miss him. I feel robbed,” he told Spice.

Kasee’s burial is scheduled for this Saturday in Matuu, Machakos county. We send our condolences to the family.
