Kenyan rapper Fena Gitu.

Kenyan rapper Fena Gitu is known for her unique ways of creating music. Her latest song Karibia produced by iLogos Music, is yet another unique single.

The song, which means come closer in English, has great sequencing and a dominant rhythm. Usually, songs by iLogos are quite easy to pick up, but this one is hard to instantly tell.

The signature iLogos tune is present, but it has been well and differently curated to fit into Fena’s style.

Although the hook is quite dominant, the lyrics are just a bit weak and sounds common. It’s not as poetic as her other song Steam, among others. The lyrics are, for lack of a better word, ‘basic’.

It might be because it’s a love song, catchy, but lacks lyrical creativity.

However, the video’s concept by Enos Olik is amazing, but the execution is also a bit off, especially with the characters in the video mostly the main male character, who is evidently not in tune with the concept.

This one is a different dance to Fena’s sound, and it goes with a rating of 6/10.
