Prezzo rubbishes gang-rape claims
Rapper Jackson Makini, popularly known as Prezzo, has rubbished reports by some Tanzanian media outlets that he is recuperating at Karen Hospital after a gang-rape.
Some news outlets from Tanzania reported that Prezzo is admitted at Karen Hospital after he was gang-raped by three women who had drugged him with cocaine and viagra.
Swahili Times, a reputable entertainment site with a verified Twitter account tweeted: "Mwanamuziki Prezzo kutoka Kenya amelazwa katika Hospitali ya Karen baada ya kunyweshwa dawa na kubakwa na wanawake watatu (Kenyan Musician Prezzo is admitted at Karen Hospital after he was drugged and gang-raped by three women)"
When reached by K24 Digital's Brian Koth, Prezzo rubbished off the rumors and confirmed to be at home with his family.
“I do not know where the false allegations have come from. I am well, and currently at home. From my tone in this call, you can tell on your end that everything is okay with me. (Laughs). I will ensure I dig deep into these claims so that I find out who started peddling the falsehoods. Sections of the media in East Africa have been bent on tarnishing my name since 2004. It is time I take action against them,” he said.
