As American rapper and reality TV star takes baby steps into salvation, he has said that he would legally change his name to Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West.

The 42-year-old Jesus Walks hitmaker and Grammy-winner made the announcement at a speaking engagement During an appearance at the Fast Company Innovation Festival on November 7, where he also expressed interest in a presidential run.

His recent moves and pronouncements have been making headlines across the world and attracting reactions from varied quarters. The most recent to comment on Kanye is Kenyan televangelist, Reverend Lucy Natasha, saying that all the artiste needs are prayers to help him overcome all the negativity that might be thrown to him, as his spiritual journey takes course.

"I’m thrilled to read about Kanye West using his testimony of what God has done in his life to point thousands of people to Jesus Christ. Kanye shares that God has called him to hold what he has named Sunday Service Experiences with music and the preaching of God’s Word. This is reaching a whole new group of people (sic)," she posted on her social media pages.

She added: "Kanye also has a new album called “Jesus is King.” Pray for Kanye—there will be many temptations and the devil will try to discourage, distract, and even destroy him. Pray that he will keep his eyes focused on Jesus, and that God would guide and protect him. God bless you, Kanye—we’re praying for you. God does not call the qualified, he qualifies the called (sic)."

Among the factors that prompted the name change came from recent complaints that Kanye wasn't listed as a billionaire by Forbes Magazine when his shoe company, Yeezy, has already surpassed that figure.
