Many women go wrong when it comes to bra size, whether it is too tight or not enough support, you are not the only one who starts unhooking your bra right after you walk in the door.

Other than being uncomfortable, ill-fitting bras can cause boob spillage, underwire that wont quit digging into the skins and straps that keep falling off all the time.

Female breast comes in many sizes and shapes and thanks to gravity, weight and raging hormones, buying the right fighting bra can be an exasperating task for most women.

Bras can be uncomfortable for a number of reasons but it should not be that way. Below are some tips that will help you know what to look for in a bra and make your shopping easy.

Know your measurements

Wearing the right bra that fits you perfectly offers you comfort compared to an ill fitting bra that triggers you to rid off the bra once you get home.

For a very long time, the Abc’s have been used to measure the bra size. Bra size is measured by combining your cup measurements ranging from AA-M and band size ranging from 28-44.

A professional can help with the measurements, but you can always use a tape measure at home too. For the cup measurements, you need to around your back over your nipples.

For the band measurements, you lower your tape measure beneath your bust. Once you figure those out you can calculate your cup size. Example: 38 inches (bust) – 34 inches (band) = 4 inches. That’s a 34D.Also, if you notice any changes in your bust size, it is important to get re-measured.

Quality over quantity

Cheap is expensive, and investing on a good bra is one of the best decision a woman can make. Quality is profound and is the only difference between comfort and feeling like your bra is low key attempting to kill you.

Breast is delicate and they require proper care; opting to buy many bras at a cheap price compared to two or three quality bras will cost you more in the long run. Lesser quality bras will lose elasticity and fall apart quite quickly. A quality bra gives your breasts full support which is a good for your posture.

Know the design and style

Bras come in many sizes and shapes; different brands make different design and styles to ensure that availability of bra for every occasion.

From full-cupped, half cupped and demi cupped bras, these styles are often found in various bra designs. Since there are many bra designs to match with an individual preference, such as sports bras, nursing bras and convertible bras, you need to pay attention to their styles.

Know your proportions

Every woman’s body is different and only you can be in judge of what makes you comfortable or not.

What may work for another woman may not work for you because we all come in different shapes and sizes. Do not rush to buy a pair of bra, take your sweet time to find the right size and good quality.
