ANC announces dates for party primaries in 28 counties

Amani National Congress (ANC) on Tuesday announced that it will hold its party primaries from April 12 to 21 across the country.

In a notice by the party Election Board chair Salim Busaidy, the nomination exercise will kick off in Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Garissa, Tana River, and Nandi on Tuesday, April 12.

On Wednesday, April 13 the nomination exercise will be conducted in Taita Taveta.

Marsabit, Meru, Tharaka Nithi, Embu, Nyeri, Samburu, Kiambu, West Pokot, Laikipia, Turkana and Nyamira counties will hold the exercise on Thursday, April 14.

Trans Nzoia, Narok, Nyandarua, Muranga and Nakuru residents will be choosing the ANC candidates for various positions on April 15 before their counterparts in Kericho and Bomet counties do the same on April 16.

ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi's home counties of Bungoma, Busia and Vihiga will hold the nominations on April 18 and Kakamega will do theirs on April 19.

The exercise will conclude in Nairobi County on April 21.

ANC says that the lists of eligible candidates for the various positions shall be made available on the party's website.
