Sirisia MP John Waluke has said he will not attend any Azimio La Umoja rallies being rolled out the country by ODM chief Raila Odinga.

Waluke who was among the Jubilee MPs who attended a meeting with President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at State House on Wednesday said Kenya has many pressing issues to be attended to and not rallies.

“Kenya is facing very many challenges ranging from hunger to drought which need urgent attention and not political demonstrations,” he said.

He said being the Chairman of Western Kenya MPs, he was solely focused on promoting peace and unity.

Speaking after attending the meeting with the president, the MP said his electorate need development and not demonstrations.

Waluke said his Sirisia constituency has myriad problems which he could not be solved through political rallies.

“My people have no water and if this drought persists, they may also lack what to eat so I have no time for Azimio rallies,” said Waluke.
