Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, Suba South MP John Mbadi and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino have on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, honoured summons by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations over the recent stoning of Raila Odinga's chopper in Uasin Gishu.

Speaking after being grilled at the DCI headquarters, Junet, who was flanked by a host of lawmakers allied to Raila, stated that they expect the investigative body to expedite conclusions on the matter that has attracted public fury.

The vocal politician stated that they furnished the detectives with information that they hope will be useful in their investigations into the matter.

"Honoured DCI summons. Gave them the information I hope will be useful in their investigations of the recent stoning of Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga chopper in Uasin Gishu. We expect the expeditious conclusion of this matter," Junet stated.

The three lawmakers, who were aboard Raila's chopper when it was stoned, were summoned by the DCI to record witness statements.

The summoning of the ODM lawmakers came against the backdrop of the questioning of Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, Soy MP Caleb Kositany and Uasin Gishu County Assembly Speaker David Kiplagat, who are alleged to have organized and coordinated the attack.

The police have so far made arrests in connection to the matter and have 17 suspects in custody awaiting the conclusion of investigations.
