Suna East MP Junet Mohamed says the ODM party leader Raila Odinga was healed of Covid-19 because God has a plan for him concerning the 2022 presidential elections.

Speaking in Tana River on Monday, the Suna East MP stated that signs are clear Raila is poised to take over as the country’s president after the forthcoming General Elections.

“I know God will bless us and in fact, I have already seen the signs. Our party leader here got Covid-19 but he recovered; that means God has a plan for him over 2022. God has a plan with us,” he said.

At the same time, Junet took a swipe at Deputy President William Ruto and his Tanga Tanga brigade for, he says, deceiving Kenyans with their hustler narrative.

The MP said the DP should not promise Kenyans anything since he is in power and can, therefore, implement what he deems good for Kenyans.

“Some people who are in government yet they come here with promises that if elected they will do this or that. The question I wish the people of Tana River should ask them is, why should they not implement the policies now that they are in government?” he posed.

According to Junet, the ODM party, if given the leadership mantle, will ensure every Kenyan receives a share of the national cake.

He says they will do so through initiating policies that will ensure every Kenyan has money in the pockets.

“As ODM party we want to ensure that money is channelled to the grassroots level. We want Kenyans pockets to be occupied with money,” he noted.

Junet accused the DP of running a wrong economic model that glorifies poverty for his interests.

He stated that the bottom-up approach being propagated by the Tanga Tanga team is not a better solution to woes facing Kenyans.

“We are not like these false prophets who have become liars with their bottom-up approach. Their economic strategy is pegged on handouts and that is why ODM is ready to take over,” he claimed.

The Suna East MP asked Tana River residents to remain loyal to the ODM party so that they can enjoy development projects once the party takes over the government.

Junet had accompanied the ODM leader Raila at a function in the area.

Other leaders present include COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli, county governor Godhana Dhadho and Mvita MP Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir.
