Kalonzo, Gideon Moi hold talks with Museveni in Kampala

One Kenya Alliance principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Baringo senator Gideon Moi have on Sunday March 6, 2022 held talks with Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at the State House in Kampala.

Kalonzo and Moi revealed in respective tweets that their meeting with Museveni was centered on their forthcoming peace retreat with South Sudan President Salva Kiir and his deputy Riek Machar.

"South Sudan is a strategic member of EAC. We'll work towards restoring peace and stability in S. Sudan during the forthcoming peace retreat with President Salva Kiir and VP Riek Machar. In the company of H.E
Kalonzo Musyoka, we met President Yoweri Museveni at State House Nakasero, Kampala," Gideon Moi posted.

Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka posted; "Together with OKA Principal Gideon Moi, I met with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni for lengthy & deep deliberations. Chief among the talks was the planned peace retreat with S. Sudan President Salva Kiir & First VP Dr Riek Machar."

The Wiper Party leader has been part of the peace process in South Sudan for the last two years. Ahead of his trip to the Kampala State House, Kalonzo held a meeting with former Ugandan Special Envoy to South Sudan Betty Bigombe and British High Commissioner to Uganda Kate Airey at the Serena Hotel, Kampala.
