Wiper Democratic Movement leader Kalonzo Musyoka has welcomed Deputy President William Ruto’s forays in Ukambani, saying presidential candidates should have the liberty to tour every region to sell their agenda.

The Wiper leader, however, challenged Ruto to account to Kenyans how he acquired the money that, he said, that he was dishing out at political rallies.

“I have said, even if they visit Ukambani hundred times, they are welcome, but they should remember that they will account on where they are getting the money; the salaries of Members of Parliament, Deputy President and even President are Known,” said Kalonzo.

The Wiper leader was speaking on Saturday when he attended public events in Mwingi West, Mwingi Central and Mwingi North.

In Mwingi West, he presided over a fundraiser in aid of five university and secondary school students, in Mwingi Central he attended the burial of Samson Muthangya and in Mwingi North he attended the funeral ceremony of Wiper Party supporter Peter Kimunga Mutemi.

He was accompanied by Kitui Woman Rep Irene Kasalu, MPs Charles Nguna (Mwingi West), Gideon Mulyungi (Mwingi Central) and Paul Nzengu (Mwingi North) and several MCAs.
