Lawyer-turn-politician Karen Nyamu claims that Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka will soon join Deputy President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance as a sign of protest to the frustrations he had received by supporting Raila Odinga.

Speaking during a morning show at K24 TV, Karen claimed that Kalonzo will join Ruto because chances are high that Raila will not choose him as his running mate - a position badly he wants.

"Kalonzo is used to getting running mate position from Raila. I don't see him getting it this time around. He is just being stubborn, but I foresee Kalonzo joining hands with Ruto either out of protest or to get a better deal," Karen said.

The UDA aspirant for the Nairobi senatorial seat said that Raila is willing to give Mt Kenya a running mate position, a move that might not help him garner enough votes from the region.

"Azimio is so deluded and focused on the mountain; the elusive mountain than the existent mountain for them. They are willing to give someone from Mt Kenya the running mate position which will bear no fruit," she said.

Karen said that Ruto is willing to give Kalonzo a better deal than what Raila can offer if he joins his team. According to her, Ruto is willing to give Kalonzo a deal that will "make him look more presidential and taken seriously."

Her statement comes at a time when the Wiper leader has found himself between a rock and a hard place after his partners in OKA; Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula joined DP Ruto.

The Wiper leader has, however, maintained that his journey for the presidential seat is still on.
