KANU Chairman Gideon Moi has sensationally said that Kenyans owe Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka great gratitude for shelving his political ambitions for the Azimio-One Kenya coalition party flag bearer Raila Odinga.

The Baringo Senator while speaking in Mukuru, Embakasi South in Nairobi on Thursday, June 2 said Kalonzo's move is a major boost to Odinga's presidential bid and increases his margin of victory in the August 9 polls.

"Kenya owes Kalonzo great gratitude. We have seen a man shelf his ambitions for the sake of the nation. For this, we are sure we are winning this election with the first stab," Moi said.

Kalonzo announced he is re-joining Azimio la Umoja- One Kenya coalition earlier today at the SKM Command Centre in Karen bringing to an end months of speculations over his political stand.

"I have since concluded and came to the realization that the future of Kenya is indeed squarely on our shoulders. Thus, I have, with deep humility and appreciation, accepted the nomination to be the Chief Minister in the Azimio government," he stated.

While expressing optimism, Kalonzo who lauded Azimio's deputy choice, Martha Karua, assured Kenyans that he will submit himself to the coalition ahead of the August polls.

"Beginning today, I will submit myself to the Azimio One Kenya Alliance coalition. The question is not if we form the government but when we form the next government," he alluded.
