A total of eight new parties on Tuesday signed an agreement to join Kenya Kwanza Coalition that is led by Deputy President William Ruto.

They include Economic Freedom Party (EFP), The Service Party (TSP), Umoja Maendeleo Party and Tujibebe Wakenya Party.

Others include Chama Cha Kazi (CCK), Communist Party of Kenya (CPK), Devolution Party of Kenya(DPK) and Farmers Party.

The eight political outfits now join Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA), Musalia Mudavadi's Amani National Congress and Moses Wetangula's Ford-Kenya.

Speaking after signing the agreement, DP Ruto said Kenya Kwanza is an alliance of the people, by the people for the people that is keen on transforming Kenya's economy starting with those at the lower echelons of the society.

"It reconfigures the political foundation of Kenya, bringing back the integrity of every leader and their signature," the DP said at Ngong Race Course on Tuesday.

On the other hand, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria said all the Kenya Kwanza parties agreed with the content of the pact.

"Today I joined H.E William Ruto and other party leaders for the official signing of the Kenya Kwanza Coalition agreement. All parties read the agreement.

"All parties agreed with the content. Then all parties signed the agreement. There were no hidden pages," Kuria wrote on his Facebook page.
