Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has insisted that Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi will not support Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga for the 2022 presidential race.

Speaking on Saturday during the burial of Mudavadi's stepmother Mama Rosebella, Malala said the ANC leader should stay put and focus on winning next year's presidential contest under the umbrella of the One Kenya Alliance (OKA).

"Your decision to stand firm has made you attractive to different presidential candidates. Recently, you saw Raila inviting you to Azimio la Umoja event at Kasarani.

"He called you many times but You did not pick his calls. Deputy President William was also here recently and he also called on you to support him.

"We don't want them now. We will talk to them when we get to State House next year," Malala told Mudavadi.

Mudavadi received invitation to attend Raila's Azimio la Umoja Movement unveiling at Kasarani on December 10, but declined to grace it.

While speaking during Rosebella's funeral on Saturday, Raila expressed confidence that his path will cross with that of Mudavadi before 2022 general election.
