Mt Kenya Unity Forum leaders meet OKA principals in Karen

The Mount Kenya Unity Forum officials represented by Martha Karua, William Kabogo, Justin Muturi are currently holding a meeting with One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals at Hermosa Hotel in Karen.

The OKA team present during the meeting includes, Kalonzo Musyoka, Gideon Moi, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Cyrus Jirongo.

Former UNCTAD boss Mukhisa Kituyi who is a close ally of Martha Karua is also present.

The Hemmingway meeting just comes a week after the Mount Kenya unity forum welcomed Muturi to the group last week at Fairview hotel upper hill.

Muturi who is party leader of Democratic Party (DP) has announced plans to vie for presidency.

According to a reliable source who is in the meeting at Hermosa, the group is trying to seal a deal to have Martha Karua as possible running mate to any candidate who will be endorsed.

Karua is the spokesperson of the Mt Kenya forum.

“It’s true. The leaders are meeting at Hermosa Karen and Karua’s factor is being discussed and later they will address the media at 10:30 am," the source said.

He said that all the leaders are keen to have a female deputy president.
