One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals led by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, KANU's Gideon Moi, ANC's Musalia Mudavadi, senator Moses Wetangula and Cyrus Jirongo addressed congregants in a nearly empty church in Thika today.

The fellowship at ATG church saw a low turnout with some seats at the church left unoccupied, a situation that many claimed to be as a result of poor mobilization.

However, that did not down the spirits of the principals as they went on to sell their agenda, with the leaders saying they have laid down plans to repay debts that the country owes to creditors in less than two years.

The principals stated that Kenya has enough minerals which they said, if well utilized, the proceeds can clear Kenyan debts to allow stabilization of the economy.

According to the principals, the prudent utilisation of the resources in the country can spur economic development and reduce unnecessary borrowing.

"We have enough minerals and land that we can use to generate resources enough to clear all the debts we have as a nation. Unlike our competitors, we have very good plans to do that in less than two years," Kalonzo said.

On his side, Moi said the challenges that Kenya continues to grapple with among them high cost of living, insecurity, and joblessness among educated youths is a creation by a clique of individuals out to sabotage growth.

He said that OKA will provide solutions to all the challenges facing the nation and insisted they have better policies to realize the agendas they have for the economic transformation of the country.

"I'm very proud of my colleagues in OKA because they're trustworthy and mean well for the country. There's nothing greater than Kenyans trusting us. As we move forward, your votes mean your future and I urge the unregistered to move with speed and get enlisted," Moi said.

On his side, Mudavadi who joined his colleagues in thanksgiving and Harambee for the church development told parliamentarians to expedite putting in place more money to fund IEBC activities for the electoral body to extend the voter registration period.

He insisted that OKA represented a stable economy, referencing the collapse of industries in Thika town, despite it having been an industrious town in the past.

"We will also embark on tax reduction to ease the burden of Kenyans who are suffering from all dimensions of life," Mudavadi said.

At the same time, Mudavadi insisted that Kenyans should not be forced to vote individuals simply because they have been endorsed by a certain group of elites insisting that Kenyans should be allowed to exercise their democratic right of electing their leaders.

Wetangula said that the OKA team will pay attention to the agricultural sector by bettering farming activities through support to farmers.

"We will imitate nations such as Cuba, India and Philippines which support their people including housemaids who work abroad and generates revenue for their country," Wetangula said.

Soon after the church service, the principals were expected to make several political rallies in Thika, Juja, Ruiru and Githurai all in Kiambu County.

OKA has not been actively engaging voters in recent weeks.
