Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka yesterday announced that One Kenya Alliance (OKA) will name its flag bearer by the end of January, amid claims of division in the coalition.

Speaking at a vernacular station in Meru County yesterday, Kalonzo hinted that he was optimistic that the coalition will pick him as the strongest candidate, to battle it out with the Orange party chief Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto.

Clear anxiety Disputing claims that there are cracks in the coalition, Kalonzo assured that they had concluded their negotiations and will make the big announcement in two weeks.

“ In less than two weeks, we will clear the anxiety and God willing, they might agree on me because they know I can deliver. Ican make great transformation in this country’s economy and bring unity among Kenyans, because I am not selfish,” said Kalonzo.

He however noted that he is ready to support whoever the outfit picks including his colleagues Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Gideon Moi (Kanu) and Moses Wetang’ula (Fold Kenya).

Denying that he is pushing for a coalition with Raila, Kalonzo called on the ODM leader to consider dropping his presidential bid and retire from active politics.

He accused Ruto of trying to blindfold Kenyans with unrealistic promises .

“How can one lie to Kenyans that he will change an economy that he did not change for 10 years he worked as the Deputy President ? Let leaders stop fooling Kenyans with empty unrealistic promises,” said Kalonzo.
