"On behalf of my party, we are here to announce the formation of the Azimio La Umoja- One Kenya political party; we will give our team leader, Raila Odinga, the necessary support to actualize his Presidency," Kanu Secretary General Nick Salat stated at the presser.

Secretary generals present at the presser included Jubilee's Jeremiah Kioni, Kanu's Nick Salat, ODM's Edwin Sifuna, Wiper's Shakilla Abdallah and UDP's Bernard Wafuku.

Speaking at the presser, Jeremiah Kioni stated that President Uhuru Kenyatta played a pivotal role in the signing of the agreement of the Azimio-One Kenya coalition.

The party officials averred that the new-fangled coalition will now crisscross the country as they drum up support as a unit for Raila Odinga's presidential candidature.

The officials further announced that the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance will hold its maiden rally in West Pokot this weekend. The rally will be led by ODM leader Raila Odinga and his partner Kalonzo Musyoka.
