Raila to tour Taita Taveta

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga is expected to make a one-day tour of Taita Taveta County on Friday, January 14.

While in Taveta, Odinga is expected to officially launch several water projects.

Thereafter, the former premier is expected to address public barazas in the area before addressing two rallies in the area where he is expected to give the message of peace, love, hope and a prosperous Kenya through his Azimio la Umoja initiative.

Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja, Senator Jones Mwaruma, Mwatate MP Andrew Mwadime and Deputy Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Dr. Naomi Shaban are expected to welcome the presidential hopeful in the region.

On the other hand, Raila's opponent in the August polls, Deputy President William Ruto is expected to embark on Day Two of his Nairobi County tour as he continues to sell his bottom-up economic agenda.

DP Ruto will begin at Marurui on Kiambu Road before heading to Kahawa West roundabout to campaign for his presidential bid.

He was scheduled to proceed to Soko ya Mawe in Githurai 44, then Zimmerman on Kamiti Road, and thereafter the Roysambu roundabout.

Soon after the Roysambu tour, DP Ruto is expected to address his supporters in Sunton area, Kasarani and Kasarani Mwiki area before proceeding to Njiru shopping centre at 4:00 pm. He will conclude his tour at the Njiru/Ruai junction.
