Lugari MP Ayub Savula has accused Deputy President William Ruto of repeatedly giving Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi bhang.

Speaking at the DAP-Kenya headquarters, where the leadership of the nascent party converged to receive Kisii senator Sam Ongeri, Savula claimed that Mudavadi's style of politics has changed since he joined forces with Ruto.

The lawmaker stated that Mudavadi has recently embarked on an abusive spree, with President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga as his main targets.

"Mudavadi has completely changed since he joined my neighbour William Samoei Ruto. Ruto has given Musalia bhang to the extent that he sleeps and wakes up to insult President Uhuru Kenyatta. I was shocked to see Mudavadi carry Ruto's files when they were abroad like a mere aide," he said.

The former ANC deputy party leader also took issue with Musalia's claim that President Uhuru Kenyatta was planning to influence the outcome of the forthcoming presidential elections.

"He says Uhuru should leave the presidential elections to be free and fair, is Uhuru the chairman of IEBC? Musalia should respect the Head of State. Uhuru is not your competitor," Savula added.

The vocal politician further trained his guns on Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala and his clarion call to have the running mate position in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance reserved for Mudavadi. Savula opined that Malala's concerted efforts will not yield fruits since Ruto's position was already preserved for a particular region.
