That thief Uhuru warned you about will steal everything if you vote him in – Alfred Mutua tells Kenyans
Machakos governor Alfred Mutua has advised Kenyans to avoid voting in the 'thieves and crooks' that President Uhuru Kenyatta warned them against.
Mutua opined that the said thief will plunder public resources should he ascend to the presidency.
"Just like a talented kid grows gradually from playing football with his peers to national levels up to international levels, a thief who has been grabbing land and stealing funds will definitely grow into a bigger thief if he rises to the pinnacle of the country's leadership," he said.
In his statement that has attracted responses from politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto, President Uhuru Kenyatta cautioned Kenyans against voting for 'thieves and crooks' who will water down the gains of his regime and those of his predecessor Mwai Kibaki.
The President stated that the fate of his legacy and that of former president Kibaki will be determined by the kind of leaders Kenyans will elect in the upcoming general elections.
He advised the voters not to elect “thieves” and cautioned them against divisive and empty political rhetoric, saying his focus was achieving his development agenda for the country.
“Please don't allow Mwai Kibaki's 10 years and my 10 years to be destroyed by electing thugs and thieves,” Kenyatta said in his native Kikuyu language.
