Ruto said he was rooting for negotiations and how the common person is going to benefit from the report saying only the interest of the leaders have been addressed.

Speaking during his tour in Kangema and Mathioya constituencies in Murang'a on Friday, the DP said he will set up a debate on positions versus empowerment of the ordinary people.

He said he was not opposed to the report but there were pertinent issues which should be addressed.

"We don't want to set up a fight in the country by getting two camps of 'us against' them or the 'winners against the losers' but we must have a sober discussion," he said.

"I know what I am talking about and I am not mad, stupid or drunk but  by all means we have to talk about the common person," he remarked.

He also vowed to continue with his empowerment program for the youth and women saying he is doing it out of passion.

"Those who are looking down on the boda boda people should stop demeaning them," he said.

Ruto said he shall push for a transparent and coherent process to everybody's interests have been addressed.

"We have equal rights as Kenyan citizens and even the common person deserves to be recognized and their interests addressed," he added.

"It's possible for us to have a concensus on this issues and we don't have to go for a referendum to adopt the report," he said.

At the same time Ruto hit back at some leaders who have been castigating his tours in various parts of the country.

Ruto said he is on a mission to transform this country and drive the development agenda on the government's projects.

The DP hit back at the leaders who have been against his tours in Central region saying he has the right to visit any corner of the country.

"I am the president's right hand man and my work is to ensure that the development projects are being implemented," he said.

"Development requires constant visits on the ground and this can be a done on a daily, weekly or monthly basis," added Ruto.

He said said those who are castigating him just sit at the comfort their offices waiting for elections for them to go back to the people who elected them.

"I am answerable to the people who voted me in and that's why I am going out to meet them," he said.

He also said those forces who are intimidating his allies should give them a break and allow them to serve the people.

"We don't want any form of intimidation from anybody and we are not going to bow down to any pressure," he added.

Leaders who accompanied the DP were Alice Wahome, Ndindi Nyoro, Moses Kuria, Rigathi Gachagua, Faith Gitau, Jane Kihara, Silvanus Osoro among others vowed to shoot down the report if it does not address the issues which concern the common person.
