Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru has congratulated Kibra MP elect
Bernard Okoth Imran for his landslide victory in the Kibra by election
held on Thursday Novemebr 7.

Waiguru noted that the conquest by Imran was a manifestation that
Kibra residents had trust in one of their own to spearhead development
projects in the neighborhood.

“Congratulations to Kibra MP elect (Imran) and Kibra people for voting
in a true son of Kibra,” said Waiguru on her official Facebook page.

The governor also said that the win was a handshake victory and said the Building Bridge Initiative (BBI) was the next big political wave coming.

“Thanks for the handshake. They laughed at us before but this is a
true reflection that the ground is different. Long live the handshake
forward onward to BBI,” added Waiguru who was one of the six
governors who drummed up support for Imran in his campaign trail.
