Wanjigi invades Raila’s Siaya backyard
Safina Party Presidential candidate Jimi Wanjigi has on Sunday, May 22, 2022, taken his campaigns to Raila Odinga's Siaya backyard.
Taking to his social media platforms, the business magnate expressed gratitude to his supporters for coming out in large numbers to welcome him and his entourage.
"We are very grateful to the people of Siaya County who have come out in great numbers to welcome us. Your energy is the true spirit of #Itwika! Change has come to Siaya," Wanjigi posted. 
Wanjigi is accompanied by his recently unveiled running mate Willis Otieno in his Siaya County tour.
Wanjigi unveils Willis Otieno as his running mate
Jimi Wanjigi unveiled his lawyer Willies Evans Otieno as his running mate in the forthcoming presidential elections at an event held at Ufungamano House, Nairobi.
Speaking after the unveiling, the Safina party flagbearer stated that Willis was an easy pick owing to his diligence and professionalism.
"He was an easy choice because I know with him we are in safe hands. He is a great young man, a diligent professional and a great friend who has had my back. He represents Kenyans who are aged 40 years and below," Wanjigi said.
In his acceptance speech, Willis Otieno stated that he will ensure their administration engages the youth in making transformative reforms for the people of Kenya.
"There is an opportunity for every young person in the country. The time has come when we must stand up and say that our voices must be heard. We will be seeking the votes of Kenyans who have suffered in the last 10 years but not those who have enjoyed life in the last decade," he said.
