Suna East MP Junet Mohammed claims that a chopper he was aboard, alongside other Azimio-leaning leaders, was 'completely destroyed' by rowdy youths in Soy Constituency, Uasin Gishu county. ODM leader Raila Odinga was also aboard the destroyed aircraft.

In a post on his social media accounts, the outspoken lawmaker blamed Soy MP Caleb Kositany for what befell them. Junet sarcastically congratulated the Ruto-allied lawmaker for allegedly sanctioning the violence that was meted on them.

"Today we almost got killed in soy constituency Uasin Gishu County at the Burial of Mzee Jackson Kibor's burial. Our chopper was completely destroyed and we had to look for alternative means mid-air. Congratulations Hon Caleb Kositany. William Ruto is happy now," Junet posted.

Junet's allegations came against the backdrop of reports that ODM leader Raila Odinga, who is on a three-day of Ruto's North Rift turf, was forced to cut short his speech after rowdy youths shouted him down in Iten, Elgeyo Marakwet county.

A group of rowdy youths incessantly heckled the former premier as he made his speech. The hecklers, who were chanting 'UDA', could not heed calls by their governor Alex Tolgos who had accompanied the presidential hopeful.
