Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has refuted claims that he is in talks with former NASA principals Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka to revive the political outfit.

Wiper party leaders have accused Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi of being uncertain with his One Kenya Alliance membership.

The Wiper party members led by Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo claimed that Mudavadi is always having one leg outside the alliance.

Speaking to a local publication, Kilonzo claimed that there have been efforts by some ANC party members who are pushing Mudavadi outside OKA hence a possibility of Mudavadi going for the elections as a loner will not be a shocker to Wiper.

"People are pushing Mudavdi to run for the presidency. Irrespective of the meaning of the push, it will not come as a surprise nor will it be a big announcement," Mutula said.

Kilonzo's statement comes days after Mudavadi revealed that he will be making a big announcement on January 23 during the ANC's National Delegates Conference. The ANC party leader described his upcoming announcement as one that will create a political storm and redefine the country's political landscape.

Mavoko MP Patrick Makau, another Wiper leader, also accused Mudavadi of keeping his colleagues in OKA in the dark. He, therefore, challenged the former Vice President to publicly tell Kenyans why he is still in the alliance.

"Let Mudavadi be gentleman enough to tell the country whether he has decided otherwise in being part of OKA. He should stop playing the cat-and-mouse game with us," the MP said.

On their part, ANC accused Wiper of not being sincere on how OKA will choose a presidential candidate.

Mudavadi's men claimed that Kalonzo is trying to influence the results of a committee put by OKA to appoint a presidential candidate.

Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, revealed that it was unfair for Wiper and their colleagues in OKA to call them for a meeting to unveil a presidential flagbearer yet the ANC party has not held their National Delegates Conference.

“It was unfair to call our boss to a meeting that was going to announce a flagbearer of OKA yet we have not endorsed him as our presidential candidate,” Malala said.

“So what is the essence of us being in OKA if he (Kalonzo) is not ready to listen to anybody? He has occasionally said he cannot support anyone for the top seat and that means we cannot also leave it to him,” Malala added.

Butere MP Tindi Mwale also accused their counterparts of fabricating the OKA's technical team's reports to water down ANC's NDC.
