Mother's Day, celebrated across the world every May 14, is an honour to the mother of the family or individual, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society.

In Kenya, on top of honour, the day is used to reminiscence the special characters of African mothers, as well as remembering their efforts in raising their children.
