One on one with the Onyalobiro family

Tell us about your group: Onyalobiro family is a group of two members Gangsta and I Paul Con.We came together in 2018 and did our first project in 2019.

When did you get into music and what inspired you to get into music? I got my interest in music when only fourteen years old. I did some soul searching and learnt alot from mentors in the industry such as Juala and by the grace of God l I released in my first single in 2019.

What are some of the challenges you've faced as an artist so far and how do you cope with them? I am from a group called Onyalobiro family.We started out as a group of  four people but two left because of financial constraints.We have learnt to be resilient because we know that building a foundation is not easy.

Who is your inspiration and role model? My inspiration and role model is Kappy Official from Team Ganji.He inspires me so much because he is a hard worker.

Where do you see yourself in the next ten years? I am a man of faith and see myself doing very well in life.I see myself thriving,succeeding and leading the youth my example.

What has your most memorable moment this far in your journey as a musician? My most memorable moment for me was when I first got into a recording studio. I was blown away and in disbelief at the same time I didn't believe that I was doing my first record. It was amazing.

Out of all your songs which is your favorite song and why? My favorite song is Diblo.I love the song because it talks about real life and what life is really like in my eyes.

What virtue or lesson has being an artist taught you? Putting God first and the importance of building a strong foundation in ones career it's not easy but it's worth it.

What do you feel the government can do better to help artists? Most artists struggle to pay recording fees if the government can step in I believe many artists would feel relieved.

What causes you to have such drive and ambition in your music career? The love I have for music

What would you advise young people who you would like to venture into music? I would like to tell them to put God first in everything they do and to face life's  challenges with courage and strength.
