Interior and National Administration cabinet secretary Kithure Kindiki has allocated duties to newly appointed chief administrative secretaries (CASs) Millicent Omanga, Samuel Ole Tunai and Mohamud Saleh.

The allocation of duties, according to Kindiki, is subject to the outcome of the ongoing judicial processes challenging the legality of the appointment of 50 CASs appointed by President William Ruto.

"Congratulations to the newly appointed Cabinet Administrative Secretaries (CASs) Samuel Ole Tunai, Millicent Omanga and Amb. Mohamud Saleh on appointment in the Ministry of Interior & National Administration. For effective delivery of services, the allocation of responsibilities is as follows, subject to the outcome of the ongoing judicial processes," Kindiki said.

Departments allocated to the CASs

Ole Tunai has been allocated to head the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration.

On the other hand, Millicent Omanga will oversee State Department for Immigration and Citizen Services, handling reforms in the Civil Registration Services (CRS), the National Registration Bureau (NRB) and the Department of Refugee Affairs (DRA).

Ambassador Mohamud Saleh will head the State Department for Correctional Services, in charge of reforms in the Kenya Prisons Service (KPS), Borstal Institutions and the Probation Department.
