Chris Martin apologises over mugging during his Nairobi concert

Jamaican reggae singer Christopher Martin has apologised to thousands of revelers who turned up for his recent Nairobi concert and ended up being mugged.

On his official Twitter account, the remorseful ''Let Her Go' hitmaker sent his apology to his thousands of fans.

"I’d like to extend my sincerest apologies to those affected by those criminals who targeted my awesome supporters," tweeted Chris Martin.

Chris' "Big Deal Concert' which was held at Impala grounds in Nairobi on Saturday, December 7 was marred with a lapse in security.

Hundreds of fans could not record the performance with cellphones over fears of getting mugged.

On the Twitter post, several replies have shown great anger towards the mugging during the concert.

The event organizers, Umoja Splash Festivals, yesterday also gave an apology over the hitch.

Chris Martin was performing alongside, D major and Future Fambo.

Despite the mugging, Chris acknowledged that the performance was great and he looks forward to visiting Kenya, again.

"Anyway...Nairobi you were the best despite it all and I had the time of my existence!!!! I will definitely be returning soon and we’re gonna have an even better time," added Chris.

In an interview with PD's Spice reporter, Chris expressed his excitement visiting Kenya. To him, Kenya feels like his second home.
