Christmas from hell for Sonko orphans beckons

Close allies of embattled Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, including media allies were shell-shocked over the latest development.

Allies populated in various county committees, Matatu saccos, kiosk cartels, parking attendants and many who depended on the beleaguered politician’s largesse and poor management of crucial services operations stare at a future without a defender and pusher.

Most are no different from bereaved.

BBI pick in Central keeps many away

In central Kenya, like other parts of the country, politicians are facing momentary backlash after the BBI signature harvesting just fell short of being called a sham and total failure.

The figures that emerged from the exercise showed the region lacked enthusiasm like other regions in the country.

There was name-calling, including the promoters’ perception about the endgame.

Many accuse the BBI promoters of poor pick of those spearheading the move at a time the country’s politics has divided the region.

Hawkers return after ‘Badi’ most sought nod

Nairobi residents were shocked to see the return of stalls along Moi Avenue just a day after Mike Sonko’s impeachment.

Businesses around Kenya Cinema were shocked to find the stalls that occupy the parking space outside Safaricom customer service centre and Equity Bank all occupied.

Street Talk was told a delegation of hawkers, who had previously forged former Governor Evans Kidero’s signature on the use of the same was behind the new invasion.

They are armed with permission allegedly from General Badi. Banks along the streets are up in arms.
