Former Cabinet Minister Fred Gumo has called on National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to take action against politicians using derogatory language against President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He cited the commission for not having taken action against the politicians fuelling seeds of discord and polarising the country .

"NCIC should come clear on why no politician has been arrested for roaming all over the country dividing Kenyans along hustler and dynasties narratives. We cannot be paying people salaries for no work done," he said in reference to NCIC.

He spoke in Kitale Town on Monday where he engaged residents on the need to pass the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) which he described as the better solution to putting the country on the right footing.

The former minister, who was at one time the mayor of Kitale municipal council during Moi's regime, said those opposing BBI were hiding the truth from wananchi who are assured of more funds.
