Thika Kikuyu elders donate foodstuffs to the needy

Kikuyu council of Elders donating food to needy people in Makongeni, Thika on May 22

Kikuyu council of elders from Thika, Kiambu County on Friday donated foodstuffs to over 90 needy people in Makongeni area.
Led by "Muthamaki" Njoroge Wa Karatu, the elders said they resolved to help after realising so many people were suffering from hunger as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He promised to mobilise more food aid to reach more people who need help.
The food distribution exercise was held at St. Matias Mulumba Catholic Church.
The Priest-In-Charge Fr. Peter Mburu thanked the elders for their gesture saying that it was such acts that glorified God.
"Every time you extend a hand of mercy to the meek and needy, you attract God's blessings in abundance," said Fr. Mburu.
