DP: Good progress at Embu stadium

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has expressed optimism that the newly built Moi stadium in Embu will be ready for Madaraka Day celebrations.

Speaking during a visit to inspect various development projects in the county, the DP said he was pleased the facility was 65 per cent complete and would be ready for the June 1.

“I am happy with the construction progress of this stadium. I am certain that in six weeks’ time, the stadium should be ready for handover. I will come back for the final inspection and I expect the contractor to handover the stadium,” the DP noted.

He also visited the proposed Embu Njugiri In-ernational Sports Centre, a facility that features various amenities that will constitute a world-class stadium.
